Weekly Challenge #384: "UMT - Anthem

Another week, another Diva challenge. Being the beginning of the week we are using a tangle by CZT, Jody Genovise - Anthem.

A great organic tangle with many possibilities.

This is a tangle I have not used before. As soon as I saw it I thought of crystals in a cave which ended up being diamonds shining brightly. I wish I had found even one of these.

Tangle: Anthem
And another...

Weekly Challenge #383 & #382

Diva Challenge #383

In November, 2018 many CZTs, including myself, took the opportunity to attend ZenAgain in Providence. Whilst at ZenAgain a new tangle called Ratoon was introduced.

The Stepout for Ratoon was released to the public this week so The Diva challenged us to try this new tangle. Since ZenAgain, I have not played with Ratoon so hought this would be a good opportunity to see what I could do with it.

Here is my tile using the tangle Ratoon.

Tangles: Rattoon & Therefore

Weekly Challenge #381: "A Happy (new) Medium"

Wow! I didn't realise it's been so long since I last posted.

I rarely use anything but my Sakura(R) Micron pens when I tangle. However, The Diva challenge this week was to use a different medium for tangling. I have also been wanting to try the technique of Zenbossing. So to kill two birds with one stone, I have used a stylus on my tile, as my new medium, to draw the tangles. A Youtube video tutorial by Romi Borax Marks is the inspiration for the Zenbossing technique. You can check out her video here.

Tile with tangles drawn with a stylus

Since the tangles are difficult to see when drawn with a stylus, I used coloured pencils to highlight the tangles so they could be seen more clearly and used a gold gel pen as my border.
Completed tile. Tangles used: Well, Ing, Vermal, Lotus Pods
