Weekly Challenge #290 "Duotangle: 'NZeppel vs Flux"

Duotangles are one of my favourite Zentangles to complete. This week The Diva, CZT Laura Harms asked us to use the tangles Flux & N'Zeppel to create a duotangle. A duotangle is a tile using two tangles only.

Here is my first Zentangle inspired art tile. With this tile I began with N'zeppel covering my tile. Then I added little black Flux on the top to create little flower like shapes. Once I had completed the shading I added silver gel pen around the Flux to make the petals stand out more, as they had kind of become lost in the shading.

I don't often have time to complete two tiles for the challenges but since I love duotangles so much I decided to draw one on a black tile. Again I started with N'Zeppel covering my tile then added little Flux shapes inside each of the N'Zeppel round shapes.
Although both tiles started out the same, they look completely different.

Check out what others are creating for this challenge if you so desire by heading on over to The Diva's blog and clicking on the links at the bottom of the page.

Muster Mixer #23 - D-Vine & Embellish

Hi All,

Another month has flown by so quickly and there is so much to do, so this will be a quick post.

This months pattern mixer by Anya Lathrope is to mix/merge the two tangles D-Vine and Embellish.

Here is my tile mixing these two tangles together.

Tangles: D-Vine & Embellish
If you are looking to add to your Zentangle creativity then having a go at Anya's mixer challenges once a month are a great idea. And best of all, if you want you can share your ideas with other people who love the challenge by using the 'linky machine', or not, or just enjoy watching your Zentangle tiles take on a whole new creative life.
