An interesting grid based challenge was on the cards this week for Laura's Diva Challenge. Laura asked us to create a grid on a circle and make it globular and see where it took us.
I loved Laura's example on the tan tile, which I had not used in ages, so I decided to us a tan tile as well.

Tangles: printemps, well, emingle, agora & cresent moon

As I completed my tile I worked from the inside out. I'm pleased with the results except for the printemps in the middle, which really looks lost when compared to the rest. If I get time I may play around with this and add the updated version if I get time.
Anyway, head on over to
The Diva's blog and check out what others are creating using the tangle fassett by Lynn Mead.

Beautiful! I love the symmetry;-)
ReplyDeleteI like the drawings on Tan Tiles very much, you have made a beautiful globe with nice coulours, love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the printemp in the middle. I need to get some tan tiles they always look so pretty when finished 😊
ReplyDeleteGreat details and nice progression from light to dark
ReplyDeleteI noticed the "Pretemps" in the center. I don't think it got lost. It's the main focus. Lovely control of the grid too. The colors are quite attractive.
ReplyDeleteI'll try a tan tile again soon after seeing soon in this challenge.
ReplyDeleteI mean 'some'
