Muster Mixer #17 - floop & aurabridge

Another very challenging tangle mixer from Anya Lathrop, CZT.

This month Anya challenged us to use her new tangle floop and a tangleation of hollibaugh called aurabridge by CZT, Rita Nikolajeva.

Floop is a new tangle for me and as Anya states on her blog it does require some practice before you become more proficient.

Here is my submission for this months Muster Mixer.

Tangles: flop, aurabridge & zinger

This particular challenge was definitely drawn 'one line at a time' and needed my full concentration. When I started this tile I had an idea for how I was going to mix the two tangles together but no idea of what the tile would look like when finished; in true Zentangle fashion. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. Who would have thought I could every draw something like this. It definitely would not have been possible without the principles of Zentangle to follow.

Here it is again with colour added. As I kept looking at the original I felt it needed the so called pathways to show more clearly. However I still like the original better.

If you are looking to add to your Zentangle creativity then having a go at Anya's mixer challenges once a month are a great idea. And best of all, if you want you can share your ideas with other people who love the challenge by using the linky machine, or not, or just enjoy watching your Zentangle tiles take on a whole new creative life.

  1. Very good composition there! I like just looking at it. It goes 'round 'n 'round, but not in a dizzy way.
    Nice shading too.
