I enjoyed this weeks tangleation vocation no. 4 by Daniel Lamothe. Daniel's challenge was to use the tangle pattern 'uni' by Beth Snoderly.
Here is my tangleation of 'uni'.

Hi! I like your Zentangle but I guess I dont understand the concept of a "tangleation". I could not, for the life of me, recall what "uni" originally looked like by looking at your Zentangle. I had to go look it up. I remember thinking how pretty it was now. But although your piece is pretty too, I just do not see any of "uni" in it. Maybe if you explained the concept of "tangelation" to me? Please?
Hi Tracy, Thank you for your comment. If you go to https://www.zentangle.com/glossary, you will find the official Zentangle description for the word 'tangleation'. To see 'uni' in this Zentangle, look for the rice shape in the centre. The spiral arms are the top & bottom curved lines added to the rice shape of uni (instead of straight up & down). Next I changed the leaf shapes on both left & right of curved lines to using the tangle pattern antidots. I hope this helps.
Yes, it helps some. I have read the definition before. I just can't see Uni here. And if in a 'tangleation' one switches to another tangle entirely i.e. "anti-dots" is it not just a switch? See, I understand the definition, I just don't get the concept. For example I see many tangles named differently, where as all I see is "cadet" with different designs in it. (Oh, by the way, I only found your site accidentally through Mr. Linky, so I'm not sure how I got here today. Was at Daniels site & clicked on "a" name on Mr Linky - and it was you. So I accidently saw your reply. My email is tmctmctmc64@hotmail.com
Wow...this is really creative ^_^ The best I could think of was different fills, so this is quite impressive to me.
