What does salt have to do with Zentangle?
Great question. Who would have thought these two things would make a great combination.I have recently begun teaching Zentangle classes in a salt therapy room.
Salt therapy has apparently been used as a natural therapy dating back to medieval times. It improves respiratory and skin conditions as well as cleansing the body of toxins and improving general health and wellbeing. To learn more about the benefits of salt therapy and how a salt room works visit
The Salt Spot.
Participants sit comfortably in a relaxing salt room, and enjoy the experience of a Zentangle class whilst also benefiting from salt therapy. The combined effects of Zentangle & salt therapy improves both mental as well as physical wellbeing. Such a unique experience.

Lianne,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds wonderful. I wish I lived closer!
You could have fun another way with the salt. If you drop coarse salt crystals onto a tile still wet with watercolour, you can watch the salt suck the water out of the colour and see beautiful crystal-like formations appear as the tile dries. Then you can tangle on the dried tile. This would be a great way to get return customers. Make tiles one day and tangle on them the next time.
